A "ghost student" is a fraudulent student identity created using the personal information of real individuals. These fictitious profiles are used to gain access to educational resources and funding, such as financial aid, grants, and scholarships, without any intention of attending classes or participating in academic programs.
Normandale Community College takes this issue very seriously and is committed to preventing, detecting, and removing ghost student accounts. While we work diligently to protect our students and the institution from these fraudulent activities, there are occasions when these efforts are not successful. In those cases, we have established procedures to help individuals address and reverse any impacts resulting from the unauthorized use of their personal information.
