The Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008 requires institutions participating in federally funded financial aid programs to make information about the institution available to the public. That includes current and prospective students and student loan borrowers, as well as current employees.

Voter Registration

Minnesota is state that does not have a voter registration requirement and allows voters to register at the time of voting. Because of this, Normandale is not required to disclose Voter Registration information.

Licensure/Certification

34 CFR 668.14(b)(32) requires all programs that prepare students for occupations requiring programmatic accreditation or State licensure to meet those requirements for all new program entrants (students) starting on July 1, 2024, for each State in which the student is located if they are not enrolled in face-to-face instruction or in a State in which a student attests they intend to seek employment. 34 CFR 668.43 requires disclosures related to whether a program meets the educational requirements for licensure or certification in a State.

Normandale Community College programs that lead to licensure or certification are designed to prepare students for Minnesota-specific requirements. While these programs meet the educational requirements for licensure or certification in Minnesota, they may not meet requirements in other US states, the District of Columbia, or other US territories and protectorates.

Current students planning to pursue licensure or certification outside of Minnesota should:

Contact the appropriate licensing agency in the state where you intend to apply
Research the specific requirements of that state
Understand that requirements vary by state

Before enrolling, prospective students are encouraged to:

Contact the Normandale Community College staff who oversees their program of interest
Confirm licensure requirements before enrolling in their first semester

Normandale Community College strives to keep licensure and certification information current; however:

State requirements may change over time
Licensure boards may require additional information, including but not limited to professional examinations, background checks, relevant work experience, or additional training or credentials.
