Wellness and Recreation provide a variety of sports and fitness opportunities to help you stay active. Whether you’re looking to sweat, build muscle, or relieve stress, there’s something for everyone.
Meet new friends, have fun and stay active by participating in recreational sports or joining group fitness classes. You might find a workout buddy while you’re exercising in the fitness center or connect with a classmate over yoga. We also offer lockers and sports equipment rentals.
Physical health impacts your mental health and academic life, too. Healthy individuals make better students, and better students make healthier communities.

There are a variety of locker options. Lockers are available for use by all, including those not using the Fitness Center & Gym. ALL lockers are for DAY USE only.
All items remaining in all lockers after closing will be brought to the Lost and Found. Return keys to the Activities Desk. Any key not returned within 24 hours will be charged a $30 Late fee.
Normandale offers two facilities for students, faculty and staff to use; the Fitness Center and the Gym.
The Fitness Center features multiple resistance machines along with ellipticals, treadmills, dumbbells, two smith machines, free range exercise equipment and more.
Everyone is welcome, regardless of experience level—from beginners to experts.
The Fitness Center is open and free to all currently enrolled Normandale students. To use the facility, please bring your student ID and appropriate fitness attire including a pair of gym shoes.
NOTE: Must sign a liability waiver before access on first visit. Minors (17 and under) and/or PSEO students must obtain a parent/guardian signature. Feel free to pick up a waiver to bring home at the Activities Desk.
