Normandale Cares Emergency Grant

The Normandale Cares Emergency Grant application is temporarily closed as we process received applications. We will re-post the emergency grant application link at this website once we have additional emergency grant funding.

During the application period, students can apply for grants of up to $500 to help cover unexpected or emergency expenses beyond their means, which allows them to quickly return focus to their academic pursuits.

You must be a student currently enrolled in courses at Normandale.

You must apply with your my.normandale.edu or my.minnstate.edu email account.

  • Requests that list a personal email (instead of school email) will be denied.
  • If you are taking courses at multiple Minnesota State Colleges and Universities, you should request funding through your home school.
  • Awards are based on availability of funding. Students are eligible for a maximum of one $500 emergency grant from Normandale each academic year. If you received an emergency grant from Normandale Fall 2025 you cannot receive another emergency grant Spring 2026.
  • PSEO students are not eligible to receive Normandale Cares grant funding.
  • Funding is not granted to cover tuition, fees, textbooks, or course materials as these are not considered unexpected expenses.

Please reach out to Normandale’s Student Resource Center if you need basic needs support, including connecting students to relevant campus and community resources.
