The application for students enrolled summer 2024 term is now open! There is a new application process through Beam (click here to apply). You will need to create a username and password to login to this system and apply. If you are approved, you can select your payment method and Beam will send it directly to you or a 3rd party of your choosing.
During the application period, students can apply for grants of up to $500 to help cover unexpected expenses just beyond their means, which allows them to quickly return focus to their academic pursuits.
Students also will be referred to additional campus, community, and financial literacy resources to supplement the grants, address root causes or contributing factors to the financial emergencies, and further support students' persistence.
You must be a current student enrolled in summer courses at Normandale to apply for this grant. If you are taking courses at multiple Minnesota State Colleges and Universities, you should request funding through your home school.
Awards are based on availability of funding. Students are eligible for only one payment each semester.
The Emergency Grant application for students who are enrolled during fall semester 2024 will not open until after the 10th day of the term. Check back here in September for more information.
