Linking to Sources in Gale Databases

Follow the directions below to get links to articles and books from Gale databases that will work later and from off campus. These directions are for any databases on the Gale platform including Academic OneFile, Gale Literature Databases, Gale eBooks, and others.

  1. On the search results page, choose an article (or book) and click on the title to open it.
  2. In the icon menu on the top right side of the screen, click Get Link.
  3. The link address will be displayed in a pop-up box. Select the address and copy it. Use this address when citing this source and to return to this page in the future. It will work from off campus.
  4. Test your link! Paste the address into a new private browser window to make sure it works. (If you are off campus, you will be prompted to log in again in the new private browser window.)

If you plan to post this link in D2L Brightspace, read about linking to library sources in D2L first.
