Linking to Sources in Films on Demand

Follow the directions below to get links to videos from Films on Demand that will work later and from off campus.

  1. From either the search results page or an individual video page, click the Share link for the video.
  2. In the Share To pop-up box, click Embed/Link.
  3. If the video is a segment (clip) from a longer film, you will see two link options: Segment URL and Record URL. Use the Segment URL to link to only that short clip from the film. Use the Record URL to link to the entire film. Copy your desired URL. Use this address when citing this source and to return to this page in the future.
  4. Test your link! Paste the address into a new private browser window to make sure it works. (If you are off campus, you will be prompted to log in again in the new private browser window.)

If you plan to post this link in D2L Brightspace, read about linking to library sources in D2L including how to embed videos from Films on Demand into D2L.
