Linking to Sources in EBSCOhost Databases

Follow the directions below to get links to articles and books from EBSCOhost databases that will work later and from off campus. These directions are for any databases on the EBSCOhost platform including Academic Search Complete, CINAHL, EBSCO Ebook Collection, and others.

  1. On the search results page, choose an article (or book) that includes the HTML Full Text or PDF Full Text. Click on the title to see the article details.
  2. In the Tools menu on the right side of the screen, click Share.
  3. In the Share pop-up box select Create Link. Select the address and copy it. Use this address when citing this source and to return to this page in the future.
  4. Test your link! Paste the address into a new private browser window to make sure it works. (If you are off campus, you will be prompted to log in again in the new private browser window.)

If you plan to post this link in D2L Brightspace, read about linking to library sources in D2L first.
