Tutoring Center

The Tutoring Center provides tutoring for specific subjects and offers other services designed to help you be successful at Normandale.

The resources are available for all students of Normandale Community College at no charge. Our goals are to support your success, to encourage active learning, and to foster independence.

We are located on the second floor of College Services next to the computer lab in room C2190.

Book an Appointment

We offer on-campus and virtual appointments on Monday - Thursday from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. - noon.

• Please book a maximum of one 30-minute tutoring session per day with each tutor. We reserve the right to cancel multiple appointments if space is needed for other students. Students may work longer with a tutor if no one is booked in the time block after their appointment.
• You'll receive a Zoom link to your Normandale email account for a virtual session.
• Please email us with questions.

Tutor.com is an online tutoring service that is also available to registered Normandale students. Tutor.com services are limited to 15 hours per student, per school year, so we recommend using it as a backup option for when the Tutoring and Writing Centers aren't available. Tutor.com tutoring is available 24/7.

With Tutor.com students can:

• Interact with a live tutor
• Submit your writing for any class to the Online Writing Lab
• Submit a question and receive a reply from a tutor

Getting started

Log in to D2L Brightspace

Click on the Academics tab at the top of the page and navigate down the menu to Tutor.com
