Linking to Sources in Infobase History Databases

Follow the directions below to get links to articles and other materials from Infobase History databases that will work later and from off campus. These directions are for Ancient & Medieval History, African American History, American History, American Indian History, and Modern World History databases.

  1. Find an article, chapter, image or other item of interest.
  2. Scroll down to the bottom of the page to the Record URL.
  3. Select the address and copy it. Use this address when citing this source and to return to this page in the future.
  4. Warning for Mac computer users only: The address should not include % symbols. If the address you see includes % symbols, use this URL Decoder Tool to remove the % symbols and extra numbers. Select the decoded URL and copy it.
  5. Test your link! Paste the address into a new private browser window to make sure it works. (If you are off campus, you will be prompted to log in again in the new private browser window.)

If you plan to post this link in D2L Brightspace, read about linking to library sources in D2L first.
