Yes! Students who have attended another college or university since they last attended Normandale should request official transcripts from each college they attended to be sent to records@normandale.edu. The Records Office evaluates the transcript to determine the number of credits that will be accepted in transfer and applies it to the student's record. Advisors may further evaluate the transcript for degree planning purposes and to determine how transfer coursework satisfies Normandale degree requirements.
We also accept credits from Advanced Placement (AP), College Level Examination Program (CLEP), International Baccalaureate (IB), and other sources. More information can be found at Transfer Process and Appeals| Normandale Community College.
Normandale recognizes that learning happens beyond the classroom. You may be eligible for Prior Learning Assessment (PLA), which awards credit for professional experience, military service, or industry certifications. Ask your advisor about available options.
The Office for Students with Disabilities (OSD) ensures that Normandale students get equal access to our courses, programs, and events. If a disability barrier affects your learning, contact OSD to discuss your needs. Normandale values diversity in our college community, and we work hard to provide equal access for students.
Many offices including Student Services, Advising, Counseling and the Academic Support Center offer virtual appointments for students who cannot make it to campus. Same-day virtual drop-in services are also available through chat and zoom, no appointment needed.
