Here, you’ll discover an affordable exercise science program that incorporates active classroom learning, including applied kinesiology and positive behavior change. Our faculty is experienced in the field and approachable. 

Normandale’s rigorous, science-based, 60-credit degree prepares you to seamlessly transfer to one of seven Minnesota State colleges to pursue your bachelor’s degree in exercise science. Your degree will be on par or better than exercise science programs offered throughout the country. 

You’ll love Normandale’s Fitness Center, which is second to none, and our kinesiology lab where you’ll learn to measure cardiovascular, strength and flexibility fitness levels. 

Where Will an Associate Degree in Exercise Science Take You?

This associate degree in exercise science will prepare you for future study in the field.  You may prefer earning our certificate in exercise science instead; learn more about that below. 

In addition to our transfer pathways to Minnesota State universities, Normandale also has an articulation agreement with Concordia University, St. Paul where you can easily transfer to pursue their bachelor’s degree in exercise science.
