Normandale Community College celebrated the achievements of the 2026 graduating class at its annual Commencement Ceremony on May 18 at Orchestra Hall.
Approximately 500 graduates participated in the Commencement Ceremony. You can still go back and watch the 2026 ceremony.
Speakers included Student Senate President Romeo Pech Moo, Alumni Speaker Dr. Cyrus Batheja, who is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Eucmen, Normandale Community College President Pakou Yang, 2025 Distinguished Faculty Award winner Dr. Ngawang Gonsar, President of the Faculty Association Dan Norgard, and Vice Chair of Minnesota State Board of Trustees Dawn Erlandson.
Dental Hygiene Instructor Heidi Ahlgrim was named the 2026 Distinguished Faculty Award winner and Kopp Student Center Operations Manager Brady Johnson received the Staff of Distinction award.
