Planned System Outage on July 11–13 due to a Minnesota State data center migration

Starting on Friday, July 11 at 6 p.m. through Sunday, July 13 at 6 p.m., many of our online systems will be down due to a Minnesota State data center migration. This includes important tools like D2L Brightspace, eServices, and StarID Self-Service

While a full system outage is not anticipated, please be prepared for the possibility of broader service interruptions. See details below for the impact

Direct student and faculty impact to D2L includes:

Student and faculty impact:

  1. If you are currently working in D2L, such as in a summer course, the functionality of your course materials in D2L will work as expected if you are currently registered for the class, and able to log in to D2L with your StarID and Password.
  2. Please make sure your StarID and Password are up to date prior to July 11 at 6 p.m. 
    1. If you are currently unable to log in to D2L, or if you have forgotten your password, please go to StarID Self Service - Minnesota State
    2. Changing your account information (security questions, primary email, etc.) will not be available between Friday, July 11 6 p.m. and Sunday, July 13 at 6 p.m.

If you experience service access issues after the maintenance period, please submit a service request.
