The upcoming Open House on April 23 offers an inside look at Normandale’s award-winning academic programs, outstanding student services, and state-of-the-art facilities.

Normandale Community College will host a Campus Open House on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. This is a great opportunity for you to learn more about Normadale. What's more, if you decide to apply online during open house, you can save the $20 application fee.

The Open House will provide a chance to visit with Normandale faculty and staff members and learn about the many programs and services that are available. Normandale provides a comfortable learning environment with good student-to-teacher ratios in the classrooms. There are also many great resources available to help students throughout their time at Normandale, and a number of quality extracurricular club and organization opportunities.

Tour the campus—including the stunning new Partnership Center—and sit in on presentations about opportunities for Latino students and students interested in our Health Science programs.

You can also sit in on how-to sesssions like "Financing Your Education" and "Start Here, Transfer Anywhere," which outlines all of your options for transferring credit to and from Normandale.

As the importance of having a post-secondary degree in the workforce increases, Normandale offers an affordable option to the the first two years of college. Plus, we offer plenty of financial aid options, such as scholarships, grants, loans, and student employment. Along with the affordability, Normandale provides flexible transfer options. Students who earn an A.A. or A.S. degree will have a variety of transfer opportunities available to them.

A Checklist for Future Success


  1. Apply Now
    Applications are being accepted for Fall Semester classes until late August 1, 2013. Popular courses fill early, so the best selection of course opportunities are available now.
  2. Create Your Roadmap to Academic Success
    Assess your skills in reading, English, and mathematics to identify appropriate course levels and help assure your success. Instructions on how to complete this step will be sent with your acceptance letter.
  3. File for Financial Aid
    Apply online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. List Normandale’s school code of 007954 and electronically submit your completed Federal Application For Student Aid (FAFSA). Your application is automatically sent to us, and your aid will be processed as rapidly as possible.
  4. Attend Advising and Registration Session
    Students admitted to Normandale who have also satisfied the placement requirements will be invited to attend Advising and Registration. You will receive assistance with course selection and registration and the information you need to succeed as a Normandale student.
