Normandale Community College will host Welcome Week from Monday September 8 to Thursday, September 11.
Welcome Week will begin on Monday, September 8 with pop-up t-shirt stands going up all over campus. Students will have a chance to snag free t-shirts at these stands throughout the day. Stay tuned to Normandale's Facebook and Twitter pages to see where these stands will pop up.
On Tuesday, September 9, join us in the Kopp Student Center Garden Room at 3 p.m. to hear Ryan Penneau's presentation, "Take Back College". The presentation focuses the importance of owning your college experience, engaging in your education, and getting involved on campus. Sign in prior to the presentation to get your chance to win iPad, one of two other tablets, or other fantastic prizes.
Welcome Week events on Wednesday, September 10 will feature the Involvement Fair, which will take place in front of the College Services front entrance area from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and the Student Resource Fair, which will be inside the building in the College Services front area from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. The Involvement Fair will give students a chance to learn about the exciting clubs and campus organizations available at Normandale, while the Student Resource Fair will show students what services are available to them on campus and how those resources can increase your chances of success.
On Thursday, September 11, there will be a Kopp Student Center Open House from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will feature Karaoke, sponsored by the Normandale Program Board. There will also be someone from Commuter Services to answer questions about alternate methods for getting to campus. There will also be free Wii and pool available as part of the open house.
