The Normandale Community College Theatre Department will present The Tempest on Wednesday, April 29 at 7:30 p.m. in the Premanand Fine Arts Theatre. The production will run through May 2.
The Tempest can be seen in the Premanand Fine Arts Theatre on Wednesday, April 29 at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, April 30 at 7:30 p.m., Friday, May 1 at 7:30 p.m., and at 2 and 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 2. The May 1 performance will be ASL interpreted.
Considered to be Shakespeare's final play, The Tempest takes place on a small island on a single day in which the magician Prospero creates a magnificent storm to shipwreck his estranged brother and confront their past. Full of romance and comedy, savagery and forgiveness, and fantastical creatures with magical qualities, this play is an exploration of how to conquer our own hearts and minds while allowing others the freedom to do the same.
