Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard - Joint Services Transcript (JST)
Formerly known as AARTS, SMART, and CGI respectively, now there is one Joint Services Transcript (JST). Military training and occupations that have been evaluated for college-level credit by the American Council on Education (ACE) are included in this document. This transcript is not required for admission; we recommend you review your unofficial transcript with our Veterans Advisor to see if and how your credits will help toward your academic goals.

Air Force - Community College of the Air Force (CCAF)

Example of how military credits can accelerate a degree program - Associate of Arts in Liberal Education
The AA degree in Liberal Education is 60 credits, 40 of which are prescribed courses in the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum
The other 20 credits are:
At least 1 credit in Health and 1 credit in Exercise Science | most basic combat training includes these credits |
18 elective credits | credits from job training, leadership courses, and time in your occupation can be applied here |
In this example, the student fulfilled one-third of their degree requirement with military credits.
For other degree programs, credits may need to go through an appeal process in order to fulfill more specific requirements. Meet with the Veterans Advisor to review your file.
Do you have potential exam credit from AP, IB, CLEP or DSST? Request those transcripts as well.
