Welcome to the Normandale Writing Center!
For Fall 2021, we are offering online appointments and some in-person appointments!
Watch for a confirmation email after booking: confirmation emails for virtual appointments will include a Zoom link for your tutoring session.
Have questions? Need help scheduling an appointment? Tutoring and Writing Center staff are here to help! Drop by the Tutoring Center (C2140) from 9am-4pm Monday-Thursday or 9am-2pm Friday to speak with a staff member.
What's the Writing Center all about?
At the Writing Center, students' needs lead! When you visit the Writing Center, you can expect your tutor to ask what you'd like to get out of the tutoring session and then work alongside you to accomplish that goal and improve your writing.
We offer Normandale students free peer tutoring on your writing assignments for classes across Normandale, as well as your scholarship and application essays.
Writing Center tutors help with all parts of the writing process and many aspects of academic writing, including brainstorming, writing a thesis, analysis, organization of ideas and paragraphs, citation (MLA and APA), and sentence structure.
The majority of Writing Center appointments for Fall 2021 will be online appointments, with some in-person appointments available.
Upon booking your virtual appointment, you will receive an email with the zoom link and details for your appointment.
