What is the Normandale ID Card?
Your Normandale ID Card is your official Normandale Community College identification card. This card is your ticket for accessing services at the variety of locations offered throughout campus. It shows your name, photo, Tech ID number, and library bar code.
How do I get an ID Card?
You will need to provide valid identification and must be admitted and enrolled at Normandale.
Who needs an ID Card?
All students, faculty and staff.
Where do I get my ID Card?
ID Card Services is located at the Kopp Central Desk, in the Kopp Student Center.
Why do I need an ID Card?
The ID Card provides proof of your status as a current student or employee. This status allows you access to resources on campus, such as the Library, Biology Center, Activities Building, and more.
Is there a cost for the ID Card?
No, your initial ID Card is FREE.
What can I do with my ID Card?
Your ID Card is a multipurpose card. All current students and employees are to have their ID Card with them while they are on campus. It is required to access certain facilities and functions on campus. It is required for use of Library services. It is unique to you. It is non transferable and for your personal use. Allowing someone else to use your card or using someone else's card is prohibited and may result in suspension of your ID Card privileges and disciplinary actions.
What if my ID Card is lost or stolen?
If you are a student and your ID Card is lost or stolen, please notify the card office by either phone or email. The cost of replacing a lost/stolen ID Card is $10. You must go to the Kopp Student Center Information Desk and pay for the cost of duplicating the card. Staff members should also notify the Security Office if their card is lost or stolen.
What if my ID Card is not working?
The barcodes on your ID Card may be worn or damaged.
To replace a damaged ID Card, bring the damaged card to the Kopp Central Desk. There is no charge to replace a damaged ID Card if it is determined that the defect is in the card. If it is determined that improper use of the card caused the malfunction a $10 fee will be charged for replacement.
What if I'm both a student and faculty/staff member? Do I need two cards?
No. Each person can have only one ID Card.
How long should I keep my ID Card?
This card will be your ID card throughout your entire academic or employment career at Normandale Community College.
How should I take care of my ID Card?
ID cards should be carried in protective holder or wallet.
Holes should not be punched in the bar codes on the ID Card.
Stickers, pins, tape or other items may not be affixed to the ID Card in a way that obscures the wearer's photo, ID Card logo, or any information printed on the ID Card.
I found someone's ID Card. What do I do with it?
Please bring it to the Kopp Central Desk, or mail it to us at Normandale Community College, Attn: Kopp Student Center, 9700 France Ave S, Bloomington MN 55431. Or call 952-358-8120 and we will give you instructions.
I'm an online student - do I need a card? How do I get one?
If you are an online-only student and have been told that you need a card, you should stop by the the Kopp Central Desk during normal business hours.
Staff/Faculty - I'm leaving the school or my contract is over. Do I need to do something with my ID badge?
The Staff Identification Card/Access card is considered property of the State of Minnesota and will be returned to the Public Safety department upon separation from the college.
