Vacuum Lab: Hands-on-Learning

Vacuum Technology courses at Normandale offer weekly opportunities to practice with models of vacuum systems that you will encounter on the job. The vacuum lab is located in S 1342 in the Jodsaas Science Center.

Some tools of the trade available in our lab include:

• Vacuum Training System
• KLA Tencor D500 Profilometer for high tech manufacturing and research
• Zeiss Microscope for characterization of thin films
• Plasma Cleaner for cleaning silicon waters for semiconductor computer chip processing
