Students must pass the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) to become a registered nurse after graduation.
Until NCLEX-RN success is achieved the graduate is not an RN. The state in which the NCLEX-RN success occurs will be the state of initial RN licensure.
Normandale nursing graduates who took the NCLEX-RN for the first time in 2021 had a 96.2% rate of passing and becoming registered nurses. That’s 9.8% higher than the national average for that same year.

Applications for Fall semesters are open from March 1 - April 15. Applications for Spring semesters are open from September 1 - October 15. Applications are not accepted outside those dates.
Yes. There is strong interest in the nursing program at Normandale. We receive more applications than the number of students we can admit.

Yes.
A full-time student can complete the associate degree portion of the program in four semesters after pre-requisite courses are completed. Students may then go on to earn their Bachelors’ degree in nursing at a university.
No. You will have to reapply for the next admissions cycle.
The nursing program is designed to be full-time, and classes are held during the traditional school day. Nursing students may have clinical experiences scheduled in the evening. However, a weekend or evening program is currently unavailable.
