Live Performances by Normandale’s Music Department

The Normandale Music Department presents many band and choral performances each year. Concerts and recitals give students an opportunity to show off their hard work and build their performance skills. Come enjoy these musical experiences and support Normandale’s student musicians.

Beethoven Faculty Colloquium

Faculty Members Robert Gronemann, Soojung Hong and Marc Jaros will celebrate the work of Ludwig van Beethoven in anticipation of Normandale Concert Choir's performance of Beethoven's Symphony #9 at Orchestra Hall with the Bloomington Symphony Orchestra on April 16.

Professors Gronemann and Jaros will present talks on the theory and history of Symphony #9 and Professor Hong will perform Beethoven's Piano Sonata in C# Minor Quasi una fantasia, Op. 27 "Moonlight Sonata"

Concert: Clara Schumann Concerto for Piano and Orchestra, Op. 7 in A minor with Linden Hills Chamber Orchestra

Normandale piano faculty Dr. Soojung Hong and the Linden Hills Chamber Orchestra will perform Concerto for Piano and Orchestra, Op. 7 in A minor by Clara Schumann (1819-1896). Clara Schumann was a pioneer virtuoso pianist and composer.

Lorenz Auditorium- Saturday, April 15 at 7:30 PM.

Free and open to public.

Where and How to Attend Events

Performances are held in Room F 1265 in the Lorenz Auditorium, located within the Fine Arts Building. Most events are free of charge and tickets are not required. View the campus map for venue and parking locations.  

Accessible seating is available. Please call the Office for Students with Disabilities at 952-358-8796 at least 72 hours before an event to request accommodation.
