Normandale Community College offers the Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Dental Hygiene as a two-year program within the health sciences division. In four semesters starting in the fall, you will learn modern technologies and patient care best practices.
The current dental hygiene admission criteria will remain in effect through the 2026–2027 application cycle. The dental hygiene application will be available on the Normandale dental hygiene program website from November 1, 2026-January 15, 2027 for a fall 2027 program start. This will be the final application cycle using the current admission requirements:

Students nearing graduation will be eligible to take the Minnesota State Board of Dentistry Jurisprudence Examination, the National Board Dental Hygiene Examination and a Clinical Li censure Examination. Upon graduation and successful completion of these examinations, the dental hygiene student will be eligible for dental hygiene license in the state of Minnesota.
