Normandale students can apply for a $2,000 chemistry scholarship each spring for the following academic year (fall and/or spring classes). The scholarship is an award for tuition for Chem 1061, Chem 1062 or Chem 2061 and/or Chem 2062. To apply, you must:

  • Have completed at least 12 credits at Normandale.
  • Be enrolled when you apply or have completed at least Chem 1020 or Chem 1061 by the end of the spring semester in which you are applying while maintaining a B or better progress in the course, and
  • Be enrolled for the following fall semester for Chem 1061, Chem 1062 or Chem 2061 or Chem 2062.

All students who apply are also considered for the Don Reznicek Endowed Chemistry Scholarship, which is an additional award to one outstanding student.

Preference is given to students pursuing a degree in chemistry or a closely related field like biochemistry, material science, chemistry education or food science.
