Mental Health Services

College can be a stressful time. If you or someone you know would benefit from mental health counseling, Amy WagenerNormandale's Director of Mental Health and Wellness can work with you in a safe, confidential setting, in a convenient location - right on campus.

Enrolled students are eligible to see a licensed mental health provider on Normandale's campus free of charge. Services include mental health assessment, counseling, consultation and outreach/programming.  To schedule an appointment, please call 952-358-8926.

Dr. Amy Wagener, Director of Mental Health and Wellness 

Dr. Amy Wagener has been a licensed psychologist in Minnesota for over 15 years, and has several years' experience working directly with college students.

In addition, she has expertise in a number of areas, including treatment of: Depression, anxiety, relationship concerns, stress, trauma, abuse, adjustment to college, life transitions, eating disorders, and substance abuse. Amy views each individual as the expert in his or her own life. She will assist the student in finding and developing personal strengths and coping skills in order to navigate life's challenges. Her passion is to assist students in managing their mental health issues and life transitions in order for the student to be successful in their academic work at Normandale Community College, and ultimately, to be confident in living a healthy lifestyle.
