- Wireless Internet connections are available throughout the Library. All carrels in the East Room have power outlets available for laptops. Additional outlets are available along the north and south walls of the East Room as well as along the north wall of the Reading room, the overlook area of the Mezzanine Level, all group study rooms, throughout the North Room.

- The Reference Room (L2734) is the main room of the Library. In addition to the Reference Collection, one finds the reference desk, 24 computer workstations for course-related research, several carrels for individual study, and microfilm/microfiche viewer/copiers.

- The East Room (L2730) is the Quiet Study Area in the Library. In addition to housing the majority of the Library's General Collection, there are several carrels for individual study located along the eastern wall and among the bookshelves. As this is the Quiet Study Area, cell phone use and conversations are not permitted in this area. Please notify a Library staff member of any infractions.

- The North Room (L2722) contains the current issues of magazines and newspapers, along with a shelf of New Books recently added to the Library. This space also includes the audio-visual equipment, some group study rooms, tables and carrels for individual and group study, and the Librarians' offices. Due the amount and nature of the activities in the North Room, this is not a good area for quiet study. Please note that the quiet study area is designated as the East Room.

- The Circulation Desk is located in Room L2701. All circulation services occur at the Circulation desk, including the checking-out and returning of all materials, scheduling of group study rooms, and the issuing of library cards. The following materials must be requested at the Circulation Desk: reserve materials, back issues of magazines and newspapers, audio-visual materials, CD-ROMs and audio books.

- Library Research Laboratory (LRL), room L3711, is located on the upper level of the Library. This room serves as the main Library Instruction classroom and to accommodate online library research activities.

- Study carrels and tables are placed throughout the Library to provide a variety of study options and locations. Most carrels are powered for personal laptop use. The designated Quiet Study Area is located in the East Room of the Library. Group study rooms are also available on both the main and upper floors of the Library.

- Photocopier machines are available for your use across from the Circulation desk in Room L2701. Please bring sufficient change or buy a $10 copy card at the NCC Bookstore. Photocopies are priced at $.10 per page.

- Men's and women's restrooms are located on the upper level of the Library.
