Toast of the Town

Team Service-Learning was announced as the winner of the 2012 Toast of the Town Challenge this past November. The Normandale Community College Foundation, with the help of Team Music, Team Psyched Up! (Psychology Department) and Team Service-Learning, raised an event-record $142,766 for student programs and scholarships.

Toast of the Town Challenge Raised $140K for Students

The Toast of the Town Challenge has raised $466,766 in its four-year run. As a prize for participating in the Challenge, each department team receives money to put into their programs. This has included leadership events, health and wellness programs, scholarships and the Campus Cupboard, to name a few.

Hospitality Management Students did a great job as service staff at the Finale Event.

In its four years, the Toast of the Town Challenge has made a significant impact on community members, staff and the students who have been involved.
