Background:

I lived in East Asia over 16 years, including the People's Republic of China and the Republic of China on Taiwan, and have travelled widely in the PRC, the ROC, South Korea, and Japan.

I collect East Asian art and have also been an avid practitioner of martial arts-including Wushu Kungfu-for some 25 years.

Fusako Muro is a native Japanese born in Tokyo. She received her Bachelor's degree in Japan, lived in Australia, and moved to the US where she earned her Master's degree.

She taught Japanese language and culture at several high schools around the Twin Cities for over 10 years.

Since 2004 she has been teaching credit Japanese language and culture classes at both Normandale Community College and Minneapolis Community and Technical College.

In the intermediate and advanced courses I appreciate the opportunity to help further students' grasp of Spanish from their first-year studies or experiences with Spanish from outside of an academic setting.
