Software Distribution and Support

The Software Distribution and Support Service provides support for applications installed on endpoint devices, including troubleshooting, usability assistance, product updates, and migrations for major releases of software; and the delivery and installation of software to the endpoints including software licensing, license servers, and self-service software deployment.

Service Categories

  • Classroom Software
    Software for instructional, classroom needs is available for installation. Requests need to be made several weeks before semester start to ensure that software will be installed. Software is rarely changed nor has major upgrades during the semester.
  • Student Software
    Software is installed on student computers around campus, including the computer labs. The software reflects classroom software to enable students to study.

  • Faculty and Staff Software
    ITS provides software to faculty and staff for both individuals and departments. Software is available through the Software Center and can also be requested through AskUs.

  • Support for any Normandale approved application, including troubleshooting, usability, installation of manually installed software, updates, migrations, etc.
  • Software distribution via the Application Catalog
