Communication and Collaboration Services
IT services that facilitate institutional communication and collaboration needs. Includes e-mail, calendaring, telephony/VoIP, video/web conferencing, unified communications, web content management system, web application development and hosting, and media development.
The Digital Signage Service supports digital content displayed via monitors throughout the campus. For example, details for campus events, deadlines or department specific information. This service is also provided to other campuses within the Minnesota State system.
Some features include:
- Ability to log in from any web browser to create and manage content and view a preview of the Carousel channel.
- Capable of supporting multiple zones in one stream.
- The licensed software and server will be hosted and administered by ITS.
The delivery parameters for the consultation portion of this service will vary depending on each customer's goal. Therefore, the resolution time will be considered the time it takes to research, develop, and define the project plan.
Email and Calendaring Services provide email, calendar, contacts, distribution lists, and related services to both our students and employees.
The Employee Portal is a service that support college employee-based communication, workflow, collaboration, and development management leveraging a SharePoint platform.
Office 365 is an online service that is delivered to users through the cloud and includes Office Apps and OneDrive. Students also receive email through Office 365. (See Email and Calendaring service).
The telephony service covers all services associated with telephony and telecommunications, including voice services, teleconferencing, VOIP etc.
