International Student Lunch

Pillars of Leadership Program - Student Nominations
We are looking for students to be nominated for the Leadership Development Program called Pillars of Leadership, which will be facilitated by the Department of Student Life. Students will get to learn and develop a wide variety of leadership skills, such as different communication styles, engaging in the community, and creating social change. They will engage around difficult issues such as conflict management, how to communicate across difference, and learning how to lead from an equity and inclusion perspective. We will be meeting two hours each week for 10 weeks. Students will be in cohorts of up to 20 during the fall semester of 2016. If you know of a student that you believe would benefit from this experience, please send us their name and Tech ID number. We will reach out to these students to see if they are interested in completing the application process. Since we are looking to start this program soon, please send us students you think would benefit by Monday, September 12. We will have two different time slots for them to choose from and we are excited to have them join this program. Upon completion, they will receive a letter of completion and congratulations from the President, Dr. Joyce Ester. This is a wonderful resume building opportunity for our students. If you have any questions between now and then, please let either Justin Martin(, the Director of Student Life, or Chris Luhmann(, Graduate Assistant, Student Life know and we will be more than happy to help.
