"Stand By Me" Photo Exhibit by Artist De'Andre Avaloz

The exhibition features Avaloz's project documenting the homeless in Minnesota. This raw, compelling, and emotional exhibition will inform, enlighten, and move you.

According to the Amherst H. Wilder Foundation, well over 10,000 Minnesotans are homeless, a six percent increase from a previous study. For more than a year, Normandale's own De'Andre Avaloz photographed and conducted interviews with many homeless people in the Twin Cities to bring their stories and experiences to light. Join us to hear more about Avaloz's experiences and the inspiration for his work.

Normandale's 50th Anniversary is coming up in 2018 and we want to hear your ideas! We will be having two poster sessions to solicit ideas from students, staff and faculty members to hear your thoughts on ways we can best celebrate this momentous occasion. 

Please stop by one of the poster sessions and share your thoughts and suggestions on how we can best celebrate Normandale's perseverance and success over the past 50 years!

Volunteer with Trick or Treat for Hunger
Volunteer Days/Times: 
Friday, Oct. 28, 1-4 pm * Friday, Nov. 4, 1-5 pm * Tuesday, Nov. 8, 1-3 pm
Trick or Treat for Hunger is a food drive to benefit the Campus Cupboard, Normandale's on-campus food shelf.  Volunteers are needed to distribute donation bags and pickup and sort donations. Questions? Contact Paige Wheeler, Lead Experiential Education Coordinator, at or call 952-358-9074.

Microsoft Office 365 Survey
Please consider asking your students to participate in the one-question survey about the Microsoft Office 365 integration widget that is currently on the My Homepage of D2L. This widget will help students manage their email, calendar and give them easy access to O365 Cloud applications and OneDrive documents. Students will be able to create documents in the Microsoft O365 Cloud, and easily upload them into Assignment submission folders. Thank you in advance for your consideration of this request.
Financial Tips for Students
Normandale has partnered with Salt to offer helpful financial tips for students. This video resource includes tips on how to take control of money and create a budget. Students can click on the link, sign in and get tips on how to cut costs from their everyday spending, keep track of the money they earn and spend, and learn why budgeting can actually make them feel great.
