Normandale Receives Omar Bunderud Human Rights Award
The Omar Bunderud award is presented each year to an organization or business that has made a significant contribution to ensuring the rights of people in Bloomington. Normandale was a recipient of the award during a Bloomington City Council meeting Dec. 5. The College was selected for its work in inclusion and equity. The work included the President's Council on Diversity as part of the college's Diversity and Inclusiveness Campus Series. Some of these events included the following presentations: LGBTQIA Topics in School and Work, Interfaith Panel, (Trans) Gender 101, "A Peach of My Mind" National Exhibit, and the showing of "Last Change for Eden" and "the Color of Fear".
