The Latin@ Youth Amig@s at Casa de Esperanza to host Youth Conference at Normandale

The Latin@ Youth Amig@s at Casa de Esperanza will hold the 4th annual Youth Conference, in recognition of February as Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month, at Normandale Community College on Saturday February 27 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This year's theme is Be the Change: Once United, Never Divided. The goal of this conference is for boys and girls ages 11 to 18 to be educated on topics that include leadership, healthy relationships, identity as well as suicide and self-harm awareness through activities and discussion. The youth will have the chance to hear from members of L.U.N.A (Latinos United at Normandale Alliance) from Normandale Community College as well as other special guests. A dance performance and the opportunity to win some awesome prizes will also be a part of this exciting day.
