Scotland Expert Gerry Mooney to speak at Normandale on October 15

Dr. Gerry Mooney, a visiting professor in Scottish Studies at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls will give a presentation, "The Scottish Independence Referendum: Still a Disunited UK?" in the Partnership Center (Room P 0806) on Wednesday October 15 from 10 to 11 a.m.

Mooney is a Senior Lecturer in Social Policy and Criminology and Faculty of Social Sciences at the Open University in Scotland in Edinburgh. He has written on issues relating to Scottish society, Scottish devolution, and on a range of issues and subjects from social policy and social welfare, poverty and inequality to criminology and criminal justice, urban studies, industrial relations and areas of human geography.

Following the lecture, representatives from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls will be available to discuss a semester-long study abroad program in Scotland available to Normandale students.
