Normandale Welcome Week takes place September 8-11

Normandale Community College will be hosting Welcome Week events for students from Tuesday, September 8 to Friday, September 11.

The first Welcome Week event will be the Student Involvement Fair on Tuesday, September 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Front Entrance of College Services (or the Kopp Student Center Garden Room if there is bad weather) This event will provide an opportunity for students to learn about all of the exciting clubs and campus organizations at Normandale.

On Wednesday, September 9, the Student Resource Fair will take place from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the front of the College Services building. Various student services will have tables in the College Services area to help students learn about the resources available on campus.

There will be a Kopp Student Center Open House on Thursday, September 10 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Karaoke will run from 12 to 2 p.m., and there will be free pool and Wii as well. There will also be a representative from Commuter Services to answer questions about alternate methods available to get to campus.

The final event of Welcome Week will be the Cool Speak event sponsored by US Bank on Friday, September 11 from 12 to 2:30 p.m. This will be an exciting and interactive event that will help college students learn to manage finances, become credit savvy, and understand the important of finishing a college education. There will also be giveaway and opportunities to win prizes during this event. Free root beer floats will be served beginning at 11:30 a.m.
