Normandale Student Paran Kashani receives Region V KCACTF Festival awards

Normandale Community College Theatre student Paran Kashani received multiple awards during the Region V Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival.

Kashani was recognized for an Invited Scene Showcase (for The View from Here), a Meritorious Achievement in Directing (for The View from Here), Meritorious Achievement in Make-up Design (for The Tempest, The Gravedigger & Dr. Seward's Dracula), first place for the National Allied Crafts Award - Make-up Design (for the The Gravedigger & Dr. Seward's Dracula) and was a finalist for the Irene Ryan Acting Scholarship (she was top 16 out of 335 nominees. Overall, Kashani was one of the most awarded students at KCACTF event, which was hosted by Normandale Community College for the second year in a row.

Kashani directed the Normandale Community College Theatre performance The View from Here, which was performed on-campus on December 3-5, 2015.
