Normandale Reading Series to feature author E.G. Bailey on February 20

Normandale Community College is hosting a discussion with local filmmaker, writer, and spoken word artist E.G. Bailey on Thursday, February 20 from 11 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. in room C 2044. The talk is co-sponsored by The Normandale Reading Series and the Normandale Diversity Center.

Bailey is an award-winning artist, filmmaker, director, and producer. He is the recipient of a regional Emmy, LIN travel grant, and the Hughes, Diop, Knight Poetry Award from the Gwendolyn Brooks Writers Conference.

Bailey has directed and assisted plays for well-known production houses, such as: The Guthrie, Pillsbury House, and Children's Theater. He was recently named one of Filmmaker magazine's 25 New Faces of Independent Film, and his latest work includes the co-curation of America Now!, and his film, New Neighbors, which premiered at the 2017 Sundance film festival.
