Normandale Community College announces the appointment of Jody Skenderian as the Chief Institutional Advancement Officer and Executive Director of the Normandale Community College Foundation.
"We are excited to have Jody (Skenderian) join Normandale in this new Chief Institutional Advancement Officer position," said Normandale Community College President Joyce Ester. "I am confident that her impressive collection of experiences and quality leadership skills will provide guidance to ensure success in Normandale's Foundation and overall advancement efforts."
Skenderian will oversee the strategic vision of Normandale's Institutional Advancement team, which includes the College's Foundation and Marketing Communications departments. She will serve on the President's Cabinet Leadership Team, and will also be part of the Bloomington Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
"I am honored to lead Normandale's Institutional Advancement team," said Skenderian. "As a former community college student and a lifelong learner, I know the vital role that Normandale plays in providing a quality and accessible education to students around the community and state. I look forward to supporting the college mission of advancing student's intellectual, career and personal development through the foundation and its generous donors."
Skenderian comes to Normandale from Girl Scouts, where she was the Chief Executive Officer for California's Central Coast Council after serving as their Chief Development Officer.
Previously, Skenderian was the Director of Community Relations for University of Phoenix in Southern California and has extensive business development experience in the private sector.

Skenderian holds an M.A. in Political Science from San Francisco State University and a B.A. from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California. She is also a member of the American Association of University Women.
