The Normandale Community College Japanese Garden is hosting "Show and Tell Sundays" throughout the summer July through September, from 1 to 3 p.m.

The "Show and Tell Sundays" will be free to the public. Join us to relax and enjoy the beauty and serenity of the Garden. Learn about the unique features of the Garden: the Bentendo, shelters and lanterns; the waterfall, bridges and islands; and artfully pruned trees and shrubs. The interpretation sessions and the specific subjects take place on the following Sundays:

July 8: Honoring the Koi
July 15: Shapely pines
August 12: The plants of the Japanese Garden
September 9: The Bentendo Structure (Grandparents day)

The Japanese Garden Festival will also take place on Saturday, September 22 from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The festival will feature food, flute and drum demonstrations, Garden tours, sword demonstrations, Koi feedings, Origami and Ikebana demonstrations, kids activities, Japanese Martial Arts, boutique shopping and more.
