Normandale Community College will host the Metro Junior Central Regional History Day event on Thursday, March 10. Normandale's History Department acts as the local host, and recruits judges that include current and former students.
Students will arrive with family and teachers between 5 and 6 p.m. to set up exhibition and prepare their works for exhibition. Judging for the event starts at 6 p.m. and runs until approximately 8 p.m. Awards will be given out around 8:30 p.m.
The top two winners from this regional competition will move on to the state competition, and the top two from that competition will advance to a national competition. History Day is a national competition for junior and senior high students.
