Author Duchess Harris to speak at Normandale on March 1

Author and Macalester Professor Duchess Harris, J.D., Ph.D will share the history of African American women mathematicians who helped launch Americans into space in a presentation at Normandale on Wednesday, March 1 from to 2 to 3:20 p.m. in the Kopp Center Garden Room.  

Harris' book, Hidden Human Computers: The Black Women of NASA chronicles the story of these heroic women depicted in the academy-award nominated film, Hidden Figures.

This event is part of Normandale's Black History Month events, and is sponsored by the Black Student Alliance, President's Diversity Council and the Diversity Center.
