Why Choose this program?
Education in the Spanish language provides insight into the literature and culture of Spain and Latin America. It also gives students knowledge of a language that enables them to work and travel in areas of the world where Spanish is spoken.
It is also important on a local level, as the number of Spanish-speaking Minnesotans has increased 75% since 2000.
In our globally competitive world, and within our locally diverse community, knowing Spanish opens doors in many fields. The World Languages and Cultures Department at Normandale Community College is also the largest language department within the MnSCU (Minnesota State Colleges and Universities).
