A Welcome Gathering Place

The Veterans Resource Center serves as a place on campus where service members and interested students can gather and socialize with other current and former members of the military who are Normandale students, alumni, staff and faculty. Drop in to visit or make an appointment to talk with the Center Staff.

Normandale, which has one of the highest military veteran populations among MnSCU institutions, is one of six two-year colleges in the system to be "Yellow Ribbon" certified.

To earn this designation, Normandale has served as host site for "Yellow Ribbon" meetings, re-integrations, and other events sponsored by the Minnesota National Guard. The college has also partnered with the Hennepin South Workforce Development Center to promote opportunities to veterans, participated in Joining Forces program to bring awareness to healthcare needs of veterans, partnered with American Corporate Partners (ACP) to provide mentoring opportunities for veterans, and engaged in many other activities to benefit military veterans on campus and in the community.
