Apply to Normandale
New Summer students who are currently admitted at another college or university may choose to enroll at Normandale Community College as a visiting student. Visiting students are not required to submit an application for admission, and are not a candidate for a degree, diploma or certificate at Normandale Community College. See below for addtional information about Visiting Students.
Summer registration for new students will begin on March 26, 2012.
Advising and Registration sessions for new fall semester students will begin on April 30, 2012.

In order to be accepted to Normandale Community College, you must submit your application, official transcripts and immunization records to the Office of Admissions.
When should I apply for admission?
You are strongly encouraged to apply as early as possible prior to the start of each academic term. The application deadline for Fall 2012 is August 13, 2012. Applying early assures the best service during your transition to college and the best course availability as courses with high demand fill early. Early application for financial aid also assures you priority consideration for all of the available financial aid programs for which you may be eligible. Separate admissions and financial aid applications are required.
Online Application Instructions

- Select "Start Application"
- Pay your $20 application fee via credit card or e-check to complete the application.
If you experience problems paying online contact 1-877- GO-MNSCU (1-877-466-6728).
You will receive an automated email response that your online application and payment has been received. Please do not respond to this email.
The Office of Admissions will send a letter with information about acceptance, completing Course Readiness Assessment and attending Advising and Registration.
As an alternative to the Online Application, prospective students may fill out the Print Application.
Are you a Visiting Student?
If you are currently admitted at another college or institution you may choose to enroll at Normandale Community college as a visiting student. Visiting students are not required to submit an application for admission.
- Review MnSCU Visiting Student requirements:
- Visiting student status is not available to individuals currently on suspension or having a financial hold at another post-secondary institution
- Visiting students may use financial aid from their home institution (financial aid is not available through Normandale)
- The maximum number of enrolled credits at all MnSCU system colleges and universities cannot exceed 22 in any semester
- Visiting students must meet any required course prerequisites or placement levels
- Visiting students can enroll in public courses, high demand/non-public courses are not available.
2. Create a MnSCU account (if you don't already have one) and register for any public courses.
- You will receive a Normandale Tech ID once you registered.

Are you a PSEO student?
Post-Secondary Enrollment Options (PSEO) students should NOT apply online. Are you an International student?
