Normandale Cares Emergency Grant

The first disbursement of funds will not begin until after Monday, January 24.
The majority of the emergency grant applications since Spring 2020 have been funded through Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds (HEERF). Because these funds are not available after the spring 2022 term, funding may be more limited than in previous terms.
About the Normandale Cares Emergency Grant
Normandale Community College now has additional resources to help low-income students weather financial emergencies through the Normandale Cares Emergency Grant. Students can apply for grants of up to $1000 to help cover expenses just beyond their means, which allows them to quickly return focus to their academic pursuits.
Approved grant funds will be distributed within 3-5 business days. Students also will be referred to additional campus, community, and financial literacy resources to supplement the grants, address root causes or contributing factors to the financial emergencies, and further support students' persistence.
Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis. Once you complete the application, you will receive a confirmation email to your Normandale email account to verify your application was properly submitted. Staff will review all applications and notify all applicants of their acceptance/denial status. Apply for a laptop.

The 2021-22 FAFSA is based on income from 2019. If you have had a loss of income during 2020, we can adjust your FAFSA for your new income. Please complete the online COVID-19 Special Circumstance Form with the documentation requested for your 2020 income/unemployment.
