Normandale Cares Emergency Grant
Limited emergency funding is now available for the fall semester, enough to award approximately 120 students. Because of the limit on funds, the process for reviewing applications has changed.
- Priority will be given to students with the highest need. Please make sure that you are thorough in your statement regarding how these funds will be used.
- Because we are limited in the number of awards, we expect the review of awards to take up to 10 days before decisions are made.
- Students must be enrolled for the fall 2022 term and not already have received emergency grant in the fall term.
- Priority will also be given to students who have not previously received emergency funding from Normandale., specifically in the 2021-2022 school year.
Apply Online Now (The online application is temporarily inactive. It will be active again on Tuesday, December 6)
If you are specifically seeking assistance with financial aid to pay your tuition bill or housing or food assistance, please see our "Other Resources Available for Students" page.
About the Normandale Cares Emergency Grant
Normandale Community College now has additional resources to help low-income students weather financial emergencies through the Normandale Cares Emergency Grant. Students can apply for grants of up to $500 to help cover expenses just beyond their means, which allows them to quickly return focus to their academic pursuits.
Approved grant funds will be distributed within 3-5 business days. Students also will be referred to additional campus, community, and financial literacy resources to supplement the grants, address root causes or contributing factors to the financial emergencies, and further support students' persistence.
