Our Mission

The Normandale Community College Foundation, established in 1979, is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization dedicated to advancing the mission of Normandale Community College.

The Mission in Action

The Academy of Math and Science is an innovative program designed to train students who are pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). The program's unique three-pronged support structure integrates mentors, peer cohorts and scholarships.

In its first year -

  • Academy students have won national math contests
  • Been awarded SciMath Scholarships
  • Transferred to the Future Pharmacists Program and the Institute of Technology at the University of Minnesota
  • Been accepted into the Future Doctors Program at the University of Minnesota and Mayo Clinic.

The Foundation's Vision Statement

The Vision of the Normandale Community College Foundation is to become the best-in-class fundraising vehicle in the state of Minnesota.

The NCC Foundation supports the college for the following purposes:

  • Scholarships
  • Instructional equipment
  • Services for students with disabilities
  • Program advancement
  • Faculty and staff development
  • College priority needs
  • Diversity efforts
  • Student leadership
  • Long-term investment for the college (i.e., Normandale Endowment)
  • Japanese Garden

As a 501(c)(3) corporation, the NCC Foundation can obtain and accept donations on behalf of the College. Gifts of cash, securities, insurance and/or property are invited.

The Foundation's Mission Statement

The mission of the Normandale Community College Foundation is to provide philanthropic resources to help Normandale achieve its full potential as a college.

The Normandale Foundation provides opportunities for individuals, organizations, business and industry to work with Normandale Community College in meeting a broad range of educational purposes.

Governed by a Board of Directors composed of community and business leaders, the Normandale Foundation sponsors a variety of friend and fund-raising activities. The Normandale Foundation is always seeking volunteers for planning and implementing activities to support the college.
