Biographical: Amanda is honored to be a new member of the team at Normandale, where she is teaching in the Performance track and directing both Picnicand Spring Awakening in the 2017-18 Season. In addition to teaching at NCC, Amanda is an actor, director, and Founding Artistic Director at DalekoArts in New Prague, MN. Recent roles include: for Artistry MN- Sister Aloysius in Doubt; for DalekoArts- "Stage Manager" in Our Town, "Angel" in The Rink, "Tracy Lord" in The Philadelphia Story, "Pam Caldwell" in Rancho Mirage, and "Catherine" in Proof. This season she will join the DA casts of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged), A Chris Smith Carol, and Middletown. Amanda has also recently directed Our Town, Little Shop of Horrors, Barefoot in the Park, and The Odd Couple for DalekoArtsShe is also a proud member of the Board of Directors for Walking Shadow Theatre Company in Minneapolis. In addition to her work as an artist, Amanda has a background in theatre management, with an MA from Columbia University's Program in Arts Administration. She has worked in Strategy and Development for Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, as Associate Artistic Director at the William Inge Center for the Arts, and most recently, as the Managing Director at Mixed Blood Theatre Company in Minneapolis.
