3.12.1 Credits in Residence

Purpose: To ensure that students have completed enough coursework at Normandale Community College for faculty to recommend a Normandale degree or certificate. |

Part 1: Credits in Residence | |
Subpart A: Students seeking a degree (AA, AFA, AS or AAS) must earn at least 20 degree-applicable credits at Normandale Community College. |

Subpart B: Students seeking a certificate must earn a minimum of one third of the required credits at Normandale Community College. |

Part 2: Exceptions | |
The required number of credits in residence may be decreased upon recommendation of the faculty and approval by the president. Students may seek such an exception by submitting an academic petition form to the Office of the Vice President of Academic Affairs. |
