The summer semester begins on May 31 and ends on August 4. Various sessions are offered within the summer semester, with varying start dates and lengths. The summer refund policy is as follows:
Monday, June 6 is the final day to Add/Drop Classes for the first session of 3-week, 5-week and 7-week classes for the summer semester. After that, a withdrawal (W) grade is recorded and students are financially responsible for those credits. A student who withdraws from from all classes between June 7 and June 13 of the summer semester will be refunded 50% of their tuition and fees. No refund is allowed if the student remains in one or more classes. There is no refund for withdrawal after the 10th day of the term.
For the second session of summer semester seven-week classes (that start on June 13) and five-week classes (that start on July 5), the day after class starts will be the final day to Add/Drop Classes.
*Although college policy allows you to add classes through June 6 (or a day after the second session classes), it is recommended that you speak with the instructor of any class added after the first class meeting. Missing even one class meeting can put you at an academic disadvantage and may negatively impact your grade. A student who adds a class late is under the same drop deadline as a student who adds during the normal registration period.
The following is a list of refund information after the first week of school:
Final Day to Add/Drop and receive full refund
June 6 for first 3-week, 5-week and 7-week summer semester classes
June 14 for second 7-week summer semester classes
July 6 for second 5-week summer semester classes
June 7-13 (applies to first-session summer semester classes) - Students will receive a 50% refund only when withdrawing from ALL COURSES.
